Weather Cancellation Policy:

In the event that we cancel Lyon Ski School due to road or weather conditions, we will post notice on our website, on our phone (425) 482-3183, Facebook page and will send an email if we have power/access.

Weather prediction is a difficult science. What is seen on the news is often not the conditions we are actually experiencing on the mountain where we are when we make the decisions regarding operating/cancelling. Please remember, weather can change quickly and unpredictably, road closures occur without prior notice. Our decisions regarding cancellations will be made close to the scheduled start, so be sure and check just prior to leaving for the mountain or bus.

In addition, Stevens Pass and the winter environment make communication unpredictable in times of weather. Internet access is limited and cell coverage can be spotty. Please know communicating with you regarding cancellations is our highest priority, but it is not always perfect in application due to these restrictions.

As skiing and snowboarding are winter sports, be prepared for lessons in all types of weather...snow, rain, extreme cold, etc. Our intention is to operate according to our commitment to you; a planned schedule of 7 consecutive weeks. However, if forced to cancel, we will extend the school schedule to the week following the planned last day of ski school, for each cancellation.
